Brainstorming 2D's colored-border slider boards

Brainstorming 2D mixes sliding-grid puzzles with a mahjong-style tile layer and a wall-crash picture mode on 2D boards edged in color. In the slider boards, squares sit inside matching borders, and your job is to move them until every block is gone or the layout opens up, depending on the puzzle type.

Brainstorming 2D's three puzzle modes

The game does not stick to one trick. One mode destroys pixel pictures by pushing them into the wall, another removes tiles in threes like a mahjong board, and the logic mode asks you to work out the correct tile arrangement before you commit a move. Because the number of colors can vary, each board asks you to read the pattern instead of rushing. Some boards feel like a counting exercise, while others lean on spatial logic and exact placement.

That shift in rules makes each restart useful. You are not memorizing one pattern for every round; you are checking borders, tile counts, and the position of the remaining blocks before each slide. A quick look at the edge colors often tells you which move comes first.

  • Wall-crash pictures clear pixel art by forcing the blocks against the edge, so positioning matters before impact.
  • Mahjong rounds remove three matching tiles, which makes every symbol count when the board gets crowded.
  • Placement logic asks you to compute the right tile order before you move, rather than brute-forcing the grid.

The controls stay simple: slide to move, then adjust the board until the pieces line up. That one-button feel works well on mobile and desktop in your browser, and it lets you start a free online run with no download and no signup. If you want more board-solving in the Logical category, this one stays firmly tied to the grid.

Tile fans may also enjoy Butterfly Kyodai, which shares the matching-board reading. For a denser tile scan, Mahjong Connect Classic leans on the same symbol-tracking habit across a different layout. Tiles of the unexpected is another close pick because its board-clearing focus lines up with the wall-crash mode.
