Octogrid: 8x8 field and fixed blocks
In Octogrid, you collect blocks on an 8x8 field and cover empty cells. Each move changes the free space, so it is important to see in advance where the next piece will fall. This is a logic puzzle where one wrong move quickly reduces the space.
How to close empty cells
- Cover all empty cells without overlapping blocks.
- Dark blocks remain in place and define the shape of the field.
- Return the piece to the tray if you need another move.
Hint, Cancel and Reset
Hint shows help, Undo undoes the last move, and Restart resets the puzzle. These buttons allow you to check another option. They don't change the rules or move the dark blocks.
Why is it important to leave space for blocks?
Shapes of different shapes are geometric shapes, so empty space on the grid quickly changes the plan. Dark blocks force you to count free cells in advance. The same calculation of moves is needed in Big Block Blast: there, too, the precise placement of the piece in the free cells is important.
