Rise of the Dead: hold the line in an infected city
This shooter drops you into a post-apocalyptic city where zombie waves rush in from every side, and Rise of the Dead mixes task-driven quests with sniper missions, survival pushes, and resource runs. The ruined streets give each fight a different angle, so you are not just clearing enemies; you are moving room by room, hunting supplies, and watching for sudden boss fights.
Mutant bosses, safe zones, and scavenging routes
Each mission adds a concrete objective: rescue survivors, capture safe zones, gather resources, and break through infected districts before the next wave lands. That horde survival pressure works because enemies scale up after each round, while upgrades to weapons and skills carry into later stages.
Between missions, the shop-style progression lets you buy new guns and improve skills, which matters because later areas push harder zombie mixes and tougher mutant bosses. If you like that survival climb, Dead Land: Survival is a strong companion because it also focuses on scavenging, upgrades, and staying alive in hostile territory.
The game also gives you different pace changes through Zombie Space Episode II-style chaos, since both place you under constant undead pressure and reward fast target switching. If you want a more scope-focused run, Sniper 3D City Apocalypse is a close fit because its city combat also leans on precision shots and apocalypse streets.
Weapons, skills, and browser controls
Pick a character, then shape your loadout around the fight with weapon swaps, prop usage, and special skills that can save you when enemies crowd the screen. Use WASD or the arrow keys to move, left click to shoot, Q to change weapons, R to reload, and F or G for props; on mobile, the virtual joystick and tap buttons handle the same actions. The virtual joystick keeps touch movement readable, and tap buttons cover shooting, reloading, weapon swaps, and props without a menu detour, even when mutants rush the screen during boss waves too. You can play free online in your browser on mobile and desktop, with no download, so it is easy to jump in for a quick mission or a longer upgrade run.
