Castle Keeper: archery defence on the battlements
In Castle Keeper, you guide a bow from the battlements against enemy troops climbing toward the wall. The 3D view keeps the castle front, the ladders, and the incoming wave easy to read, while your shots need to land cleanly on moving targets. When the pressure rises, the fire barrels add a stronger hit, so timing matters as much as aim.
Every kill earns points, and those points feed the upgrade path for your hero. Improve your bow and arrows, then face stronger attacks with better damage. Because the enemies keep advancing in waves, the action pushes you to focus on accuracy rather than spray-and-pray shooting.
Upgrades, new worlds, and bigger bosses
Castle Keeper also grows beyond one wall. After enough waves, your hero is sent to defend another castle, which opens up new skills and a tougher pace. That climb is backed by monstrous bosses and different worlds, so the defense pattern keeps changing as you learn when to shoot, when to hold your ground, and when to lean on special attacks.
That mix of wave defense and upgrades fits the strategies and management category. The pressure feels close to Takeover, where holding the line and improving your side matter just as much. It also matches the archery tag, since every run depends on target control. The defense tag also fits, because the castle is always under threat. For another castle-front challenge with waves and fortifications, Medieval Defense Z is a strong mechanical neighbour.
You can play in your browser with no download or signup, and it runs well on mobile and desktop, so the controls stay accessible wherever you start.
