Driftline: fishing and raft growth
In Driftline you play an economic strategy game on a living sea. Here fishing starts with a small raft, and then you sell your catch, collect equipment and develop your base. Weather and time of day change the production at each exit.
How to make the first cast
First, go to the water's edge and choose a place to fish.
- Click on the accessible platform to move to the edge.
- Hold Space or drag across the water to select your cast.
- Release to send the tackle into the water.
- Watch the bite and tension when the fish bites.
How many stages does the base have?
The base goes through five stages, and you sell the excess catch and invest it in crafting better equipment. Growing your base through crafting and selling your catch is familiar from Idle Arks: Sail and Build 2. After the boat is restored, more distant waters open up.
What does weather and collection change?
Weather and time of day reveal new finds, so the same exit rarely goes the same way. Fish quests provide a separate goal for the outing. Caught fish add to the collection - just like in Build Your Aquarium. Progress is saved automatically.
