Gnome Deep: a noisy drill under an old stump
In Gnome Deep, you dig under an old oak stump for the Dwarf King's treasure. This is a strategy where the volume of drilling speeds up the extraction of gold, but attracts beetles, slugs, crows and other pests.
How to start an excavation without disrupting the drill
- First, set the drilling noise to a comfortable level.
- Then buy the first upgrade cards when you have enough stones.
- Click on the pest to see who is coming to the hole.
- Keep digging until the boss on the next layer.
Who holds the hole during excavation
Crossbow gnomes, a catapult, an old owl and a cousin with a shovel hold up the wall at the hole, just like in Tower Defenders. They cover the passage while you decide how loud to dig. The louder you work, the more enemies approach the rig.
What remains after a drilling rig collapses?
When the drill hole falls, you spend gems in the workshop. Improvements help you dig deeper in the next run. The Wyrm awaits on the eighth layer, so each new passage leads to it through a deeper tunnel.
