Vortex 9: team battles, solo deathmatch, and capture point fights
Vortex 9 drops you into fast matches where you swap between guns and melee weapons while chasing kills or objectives across colorful arenas. The eccentric hero roster and futuristic arsenal give each round a louder, stranger look than a standard arena shooter, and it runs in your browser with no download or signup.
As a shooter, it keeps the pressure on with constant movement, quick weapon changes, and map control. You can jump into Team Battle, Deathmatch Solo, or Capture Point, then adjust your loadout as the fight shifts. The game also plays on mobile and desktop, so the same match flow works well on a phone or a PC.
Each mode pushes a different goal: in Capture Point, you need to hold ground; in Team Battle, you chase team scores; and in Deathmatch Solo, every elimination counts for you alone. The maps use cover, tight routes, and vertical lanes, so jumping, crouching, and picking the right weapon matter as much as aim.
Maps, flanks, and weapon swaps that decide the round
The arena layouts are built for quick flanks and sudden close-range duels, which makes timing your push important. Heavy melee tools, rapid-fire guns, and the weapon wheel create a constant decision layer in every skirmish. It has a lot in common with Venge.io, because both center on arena combat and quick weapon swaps.
Eight heroes are listed in the game info, including John, Jane, Marvin McSpy, Mr Goodboy, Jess Purrfect, Hellen D. Mon, Mercydroid, and Beelzebox, so you can pick a look that fits your style. That roster gives the matches a playful edge, while the weapon pool keeps the action grounded in straightforward firefights.
Controls for PC and touch screens
- WASD movement, mouse aim, and mouse fire on PC.
- Space for jump, plus 1–5 or the scroll wheel to change weapons.
- G for grenade, F to pick up items, C to crouch, and M for the map.
- Touch controls on mobile use a virtual joystick on the left and action buttons on the right.
It also lines up with Ev.io, since both keep movement, aim, and map pressure at the center of the match, while Deadshot.io is another close match because its online firefights reward fast reactions and tight spacing.
