Scrap Metal — race and crash cars in the sandbox
The task is simple: arrange ramps and bridges, and then accelerate. Scrap Metal is an open sandbox for tricks on cars, without levels and timer. You choose one of 6 cars and smash it into obstacles to cause serious damage to the body. The game runs in a browser on a PC.
DIY track
Hold the Ctrl key and move the mouse on ramps and bridges to build your own jumping course. The T key turns on the slowdown — it’s convenient to see the landing of the trick. The Enter key resets the car and track.
Offers similar freedom of construction Scrap Metal 2, the next part of the series with new cars.
No goal, just physics
The game does not set a goal or count points. You decide for yourself whether to drive on the track or practice destruction cars against obstacles. The first races take you to get used to the physics of the skid — the car does not immediately obey the steering wheel.
There is a similar emphasis on stunts and track construction in Scrap Metal 4, the fourth part of the series.
