Chiron City Driver — city drifting in a supercar
Chiron City Driver — a racing arcade set in an open city with a focus on drifting. You get behind the wheel of a supercar and cruise around with no track and no laps. Streets, a tunnel, a construction site, and ramps are all open from the start. Similar city traffic action is available in Traffic Tour. The game is available on PC, smartphones, and tablets.
Streets instead of a track
The city is one big playground. Challenges are scattered across the map and start automatically when you drive into their gates. The drift challenge asks you to build up drift points. The speed challenge is all about crossing the gate at the required speed. The stunt challenge has you hit a ramp and fly through yellow markers. Cash and supercar upgrades
You earn money for every challenge. Money goes straight to the garage. There, you can change the car’s looks and upgrade the engine, brakes, and tire grip. The upgrades directly affect nitro and drift angle. In three of the challenges, a companion dog rides with you.
Who the game is for
This game is for players who love free roam driving with no timer and no race position to worry about. You don’t need any racing experience: the basic controls take just a minute to learn. The format works just as well for a quick 10-minute session as it does for a long map exploration run.
How to start a run
- Get behind the wheel: on PC, press E; on phone, tap the on-screen button.
- Drive down a straight street and get used to acceleration.
- Find the nearest challenge gate and drive through it.
- Collect money and spend it on garage upgrades.
Without upgrades, the car breaks into a drift too early.
- Tap nitro in short bursts while cornering. That keeps the drift arc from breaking on long turns.
- Put your first cash into upgrades, not paint jobs. The tougher speed and drift challenges are almost impossible without them.
