That’s the key move in the genre: don’t just hit the nearest bubble — hit the one holding the whole bunch together.
You can see the next bubble color in advance
Under the cannon, you always see not just the current bubble, but the next one too. That changes the strategy: sometimes it’s smarter to waste the current shot if the next one lets you build a bigger group. In Ocean Bubbles, the playfield is wide, so there’s room for that kind of move. Royal Bubble Blast, on the other hand, tightens the space and forces faster decisions.
Bouncing off the wall
A straight shot doesn’t always work, since part of the cluster is blocked from above. In that case, you fire at an angle and let the bubble bounce off the side wall. Getting the angle right is the skill that separates a beginner from an experienced player. Bubble Spirit is built around levels you can’t clear without bank shots.
The field drops down
In some games, a new row of bubbles appears from the top after a set number of shots. Reach the bottom and the round is over. That means you can’t sit back: you have to keep clearing the board. Badabump adds faster pace on the later levels.
