How materials behave
Sand can be heated into glass, and rock can be melted into lava. The water on the lava hisses and makes a new coastline. The smoke goes away on its own, and the seeds in the wet soil immediately germinate and stretch upward. Such transformations are based on physics. The same reaction calculation is needed in Alchemy: you also mix elements and wait for the result.
