1010 is often called Tetris without the rush, but it has its own rules. The board is a 10×10 grid, which is where the name comes from. At the bottom you get three shapes, and you can place them anywhere there’s room, in any order. The pieces don’t fall, and in the classic version they don’t rotate. A new set of three appears only after all three have been placed. There’s no timer, so you can think over each move for as long as you want.

Rows, columns, and two dangerous pieces

In Tetris, only horizontal lines disappear; here, both rows and columns clear. One piece can complete a line in two directions at once, and that move earns more points. This group includes 10X10 block puzzle . A game ends when there’s nowhere left to place any of the remaining pieces. That’s why the real danger isn’t the small pieces, but the two big ones: the 3×3 square and the straight five-block piece. It’s worth always keeping space open for them, or the game can end while the board is still half empty. It’s better to place pieces from the corners and edges toward the center: that way the middle stays open for longer. Single empty cells inside your layout are the biggest mistake — the only way to fill one is with a one-block piece, and those are rare.

Variants with different rules

Sudoblock Daily belongs to versions with changed rules. The most common variant uses a 9×9 board divided into 3×3 squares: in addition to rows and columns, a filled square also disappears, just like in Sudoku. There are versions on an 8×8 board too: those games are shorter, and clearing several lines in a row earns a combo. In some versions you can rotate the pieces, which makes the game noticeably easier.
