Blue Break: wave, obstacles and shark
In Blue Break, the view is in first person, and you guide the board along the wave from run-up to descent. You need to get around surfers and swimmers, and also not lose line while the wave breaks behind you. This is an arcade game for skills.
How to get on the wave and accelerate
- Swim up to the wave and get on the board on the breakaway.
- Keep a distant point to go faster.
- Lower the controls to the bottom to slow down.
What's in the way on the descent line?
At each level, a wave leads you forward, but the road is cut off by crowds and narrow passages. The insidious shark does not allow you to go straight, and other obstacles force you to change course in advance. Obstacles are important in tight spaces because it's easy to lose your line.
Why is pace important on the water?
Acceleration helps to bridge the gap, but braking is needed before a tight area. At high speed it is easier to avoid obstacles, but more difficult to maintain an accurate course. The same calculation of movement is needed in Summer Rider 3D: there it is also important to keep a line on the water.
