Katana Zero Borrowed Seconds: time dilation and swords
In Katana Zero Borrowed Seconds, you lead Ray through a neon city and sword fights. Here you can slow down time, deflect bullets and look for the moment to dash until the route becomes safer. It's an action-adventure game with an emphasis on precise combat and movement.
How to start the first battle
- Guide Ray around the location and remember where the enemies and dangers are.
- Use Arrows or WASD to move and get to a comfortable distance.
- Press Space or W to jump over hazards.
- Press J or LMB to hit with your sword and deflect bullets.
- Add K or RMB to dash, and L or Q to slow down time.
What do checkpoints save?
Checkpoints save your progress, so if you make a mistake you don't go back to the beginning of the game. This is important in long sections where you need to go through the location again and choose a new moment to attack. The saving system reduces the repetition of an already completed segment after failure.
Why swords and reactions are important here
Swords, reflecting bullets and slowing down time decide here. In fights, you calculate the timing of blows and jerks, just like in Finn Bones. The neon city and electronic soundtrack keep each section in the same rhythm.
