Need for Speed Most Wanted — street racing and police chases

The police are chasing you through the streets of Rockport, roadblocks are ahead, and patrol cars are closing in behind you. In Need for Speed Most Wanted, you take part in street races, outrun the police, and slowly become the city's most wanted racer. This is the browser version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted from 2005, with a full career mode and online races.

The main goal of the single-player career is to beat 15 rivals from the Blacklist and win back the BMW M3 GTR. To progress, you need to win races, build your reputation, and successfully escape police pursuits. Unlike standard Need for Speed racing games, police chases play a major role here.

From street racer to number one on the Blacklist

Career mode starts you at the bottom of the rankings. To climb higher, you beat rivals, earn money, and upgrade your cars. You can change car parts and prepare your ride for the next competition.

Police chases add a separate challenge. It is not enough to just floor it: you need to dodge roadblocks, avoid crashes, and find a way to escape. If you like chase racing games, in Police Pursuit 2 you also have to fight your way through city streets while being pursued.

Free roam and races with friends

Most Wanted Online lets you go beyond the single-player career. In multiplayer mode, you can freely drive around Rockport, meet other players, and compete in races with up to 16 people. For quick matchups, there is a Race Now mode.

There is also Rockport RP, where players are split into police and racers. It includes a global chat, leaderboards, and separate community servers.

If you want a break from police chases and want to focus on night races and tuning, try Need for Speed: Underground 2 Revived. Here you can freely drive through the night city, upgrade cars, take part in street races, and meet friends in multiplayer.

The browser version works on both computers and mobile devices. You can start the single-player career without an account, while registration lets you save progress to your profile and join online races.
