Racing Limits — overtaking in heavy traffic
There is no opponent on the track here. Normal flow interferes cars: trucks, cars, different speeds in adjacent lanes. The road goes straight, there are almost no sharp turns, so the whole difficulty comes down to choosing a lane and the moment to overtake. A mistake costs the race — a high-speed collision ends the attempt.
The browser version has four modes: career, endless, against time and free ride. If you want slow driving and precise maneuvering instead of speed, go closer Traffic Jam 3D.
What does two-way flow change?
Traffic switches between one-way and oncoming traffic. In oncoming traffic, the speed difference is higher, the gap between cars closes faster, and decisions have to be made earlier. The time of day is also selectable: morning, sunset and night. At night, the viewing range is shorter, and the road itself does not change. There are four cameras, including a top view — it is most convenient for assessing the traffic density ahead in advance.
Players note that the tracks remain monotonous: straight highways and city streets without complex geometry. A similar scheme works in Mr Racer Car Racing, where overtaking is also more important than the trajectory.
Tuning affects more than just numbers
The car's engine, brakes and handling are improved. Gear ratios, body height and wheel camber are adjusted separately. The developer considers power, torque and weight — acceleration and maximum speed depend on these parameters, and not on one level of pumping. There are also cosmetics: the color of the body and wheels. For those who are more interested in tuning than traffic, this is suitable Nitro Speed 2 Underground.
The box can be switched to manual mode and gears can be changed using the keyboard. In online mode, sometimes an opponent is caught with a noticeably more pumped up car — this is noted by the players themselves as a weak point in the selection.
