Lineguard: Draw lines against arrows and spikes
In Lineguard, the ninja runs on his own, and you draw his path and protection. This is an action game about precise calculation. In it, one trait can stop an arrow, cover spikes or create a ramp, and drawing decides where the ninja will run next.
How to put the first line in Lineguard
- The ninja runs on his own, so look for arrows and spikes first.
- Draw a line in front of the arrow to stop it.
- Cover the hole or thorns under your feet with a line.
- Tilt the stroke up if you need a ramp jump.
What do five inks give?
Five Inks are unlocked in the Dojo using coins you collect along the way. Rubber throws ninjas up and throws rocks away, while steel breaks rocks and returns arrows faster. Fire burns arrows and archers, but does not become solid; the ice speeds up the slide and makes the jump further from the ramp. The slope of the line decides the rebound, and the same calculation of the move is needed in Vex 8 when you place a line under the jump.
When the boss appears in Lineguard
Every 500 meters the path is blocked by a boss. First up are the Giant Archer, Catapult, Rival Ninja, Great Hawk, and Twin Archers. After victory, the world changes. From Bamboo Valley you go to the Red Desert, Snow Peaks and Moon Ink, and each world has its own enemy and music.
