Word Cross — a crossword puzzle that is assembled from one set of letters
At the bottom of the screen there is a small set of letters, at the top there is an empty grid crossword You draw a line through the letters and make up a word. If such a word is in the grid, the letters themselves fall into their own cells. There will be no other letters on the level: the entire crossword puzzle is assembled from one set.
Words in the grid intersect horizontally and vertically, so each guessed word reveals part of the neighboring ones. Already visible letters show where the vowel is and how long the desired word is. The same line-by-letter entry works in Word Sauce, so you won’t have to get used to the controls again.
When the letters stop adding up
The shuffle button changes the order of the letters in the set. This does not provide new information, but it helps to see a combination that the eye missed. There is no timer, nothing is taken away for an incorrect word — you can go through the options as much as you like. The inverse problem, where the words are already written and need to be found in a grid of letters, is Wortsuche Rätsel.
Words that are not in the grid
Extra words are often formed from the same set of letters. The game accepts them and awards coins, although they do not appear in the crossword puzzle. Coins are spent on a clue that reveals a letter in an unsolved word. It turns out to be a simple exchange: the more carefully you analyze the set in easy levels, the greater the supply of clues in difficult ones.
