Forgotten Hill Memento: Love Beyond - an escape quest about the ghost of a scientist's wife

You help a scientist who is visited by the ghost of his dead wife. Set in the town of Forgotten Hill, the dark atmosphere of the series is built around the theme of love and loss. Mechanically, this is a quest with a search for objects: you go around several rooms, take everything you can take, and look for what it matches. The structure of the game is close to Forgotten Hill: Puppeteer - the same inspection of rooms and object puzzles.

A clue in one room, a riddle in another

The main difficulty is not in the complex actions, but in the fact that the solution almost never lies next to the riddle. The picture with the constellation hangs in the right room, and you need to arrange flowers according to it on the chest of drawers in the middle one. A piece of paper with notes explains the puzzle with the eyes, which is located in another place. Matches are needed to light the candle, and only after that access to the doll is opened. The ring is placed under the right portrait, and then the silver door opens. Therefore, examine everything and remember where you saw what; the same logic works in Forgotten Hill Disillusion: The Library.

What's inside the riddles

The types of tasks are different. There are rings that you turn until they form a picture. There is a panel where metal discs are inserted into the right places. There is a sequence: the pictures at the door are pressed one by one, in a certain order. There is also a word password that needs to be found in the room. There are no battles or a timer, you can make as many mistakes as you like.

Why is there a warning for the game?

This part is softer than the earlier issues of the series, but the ending is still heavy. Another story from the same town is Rise of Pico – A Forgotten Hill Tale.

The walkthrough is short. The game is played in a browser on a computer, phone and tablet, all control comes down to clicks.

GUIDE

1. Look around the room and take everything that is in your inventory.
2. Click on the item in the inventory, then on the object in the room - this is how the item is applied.
3. Write down or remember each picture and piece of paper: this is a clue to the riddle in the other room.
4. Light the candle with matches to gain access to the doll.
5. Place the ring under the right portrait to open the silver door.
